Dr. Anne-Marie Williamson is a nurse practitioner providing non-pharmacological pain management in the Supportive Care Clinic. She is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
She has an extensive nursing career, including pediatric intensive care, emergency department, nursing education, primary care, and psychiatry.
A cancer survivor, Anne-Marie has experienced health care from both sides.
She believes in collaborative, medically informed treatment that honors patient values. She listens to her patients to better understand how pain impacts their lives so they can develop a treatment plan together. She says, “It takes courage to live with chronic pain, and it can be a lonely journey. I want patients to know that I hear them and help them regain a feeling of control, reduce or eliminate pain, and live their best lives”.
Anne-Marie was born in England and has spent much of her life in the U.S. She and her husband, Keith, have four adult children and two golden retrievers. Outside of work and family time, she is a potter. She enjoys combining fiber and clay to create art.
