Dr. Kimberley Bourne is a board-certified endocrinologist with United Regional Physician Group.
A graduate of Florida Institute of Technology, Dr. Bourne went on to medical school at the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, and completed her fellowship at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Bourne’s interest in taking care of people led her to the medical field. During rotations, a professor’s passion for endocrinology sparked Dr. Bourne’s interest in the specialty. She spent 20 years in private practice in Florida before a desire for a change in scenery led her to Wichita Falls and United Regional Physician Group. She enjoys the science behind medicine and being able to explain it to patients in a way that makes sense and motivates them to take better care of themselves.
Dr. Bourne builds rapport with her patients and is passionate about maintaining a strong relationship with them. Under her care, patients can expect to feel heard, understood and confident in the progress of their condition.
Outside of work, Dr. Bourne values exploring new things with her husband. They spend quality time scouting new restaurants, tasting wines and hiking in the Wichita Mountains.
