Dr. Maxine Lingurar is an obstetrician/gynecologist at United Regional Physician Group with additional certification and expertise in menopause.
She went to medical school at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, where she also completed her residency.
Dr. Lingurar has always been interested in working in women’s health, and credits all of the women in her family for the decision to pursue this specialty. She wanted to follow in the footsteps of the nurses in her family, and quickly found her passion for obstetrics and gynecology when she began medical school. Dr. Lingurar delights in delivering babies into the world, but ultimately her satisfaction lies in educating women about their bodies and improving the quality of their lives.
With all the new information and research surrounding menopause, Dr. Lingurar strives to educate her patients on hormone therapy and achieving good health in menopause. She is passionate about this stage of life, recognizing that women may spend more than half their lives in menopause. As an advocate for her community, Dr. Lingurar wants people to live well, and in order to do that, they need to feel well. She encourages her patients to maintain active lifestyles.
Dr. Lingurar makes it a priority to establish trust with her patients, making sure they feel supported and empowered. She takes the time to review their health history, listen to their needs, and learn what type of healthy lifestyle they desire.
When she’s away from the office, Dr. Lingurar enjoys outdoor activities with her daughter, reading and watching classic movies. Staying active is an important component in her life. Dr. Lingurar feels empowered when building muscle and fully believes that anybody who is proactive in exercising will excel in life.
