Dr. Morrison is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He then completed his residency in urology at the University of Iowa.
As a senior in high school, Dr. Morrison interned at the Children’s Hospital at the University of Colorado where he received vast opportunities to shadow clinical operations, surgeries and even a neurosurgeon. The internship propelled him toward a career in medicine. Dr. Morrison wanted to use his proficiencies for procedural medicine as a surgeon and discovered that urology was best fit for his skills and interests. He was fascinated by the practice of urology because of its nice balance between taking care of people through surgical procedural care and getting to know people in a clinic setting as well.
Dr. Morrison fully believes in living an active lifestyle, and tenaciously works with his patients to make sure they experience a healthy and happy life. The most rewarding part of the job to Dr. Morrison is seeing the positive changes in his patients’ health and using his knowledge and skills to restore someone’s quality of life.
When moving to Wichita Falls in 2019, Dr. Morrison and his family were impressed with the city and United Regional’s involvement in the community. He knew this was a place he wanted to raise his family. Morrison has a lovely wife and two daughters. Their quality time consists of cycling on the weekends. Another aspect that really drew Dr. Morrison to the community was the annual Hotter’N Hell race and the other cycling-related events, groups and activities.
