Dr. Zachary Pendleton is a family medicine physician at United Regional Physician Group.
Dr. Pendleton graduated magna cum laude from Dixie State University in St. George, Utah, with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He attended medical school at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Program in Casper, WY.
His father was a family medicine physician, so Dr. Pendleton was exposed to medicine from a young age. He was drawn to science subjects, particularly those related to the human body. Dr. Pendleton chose Family Medicine because it allows him to build strong relationships with his patients and provide a wide range of services at all stages of life for his patients. “I love the relationships I form with patients over weeks, months, and even years. Acting as a coach and seeing positive changes occur throughout people’s lives is satisfying. Add to that the various challenges that come with different stages of life from childhood to adolescence to adulthood, and it becomes even more fulfilling.”
Dr. Pendleton and his wife Sarah have three sons and a Bernese Mountain dog named Maple. He says his life outside of his work revolves around his family and he enjoys working on projects around his home that allow him to work with his hands.
The Pendleton family is delighted to be a part of the Wichita Falls community. “Everyone so genuinely kind and caring and, although this city is twice the size of our previous community, it instantly felt like a place we could call home for many years to come.”
