Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, we create an individualized weight loss plan for each person using the most current evidenced-based research. We discuss your diet and weight loss history, personal barriers to losing weight, and factors that can be contributing to weight gain. We also perform lab tests to check for abnormalities and any physiological and medical conditions that can affect weight loss.
Once your individual weight loss plan is developed and you’ve started your weight loss journey, we provide ongoing interactive support with a weight loss guide to review your results and make adjustments to your plan as needed. Your weight loss guide is a Nurse Practitioner who has expertise and years of experience in evidenced-based weight loss methods.

Q. Are weight loss medications prescribed?
A. If you meet certain criteria, medications can be prescribed on a three-month trial basis. We monitor any side effects you may experience and if the medications are helping with weight loss.
Q. How much does the program cost? Is it covered by insurance?
A. The program may be covered by your insurance dependent on your diagnosis and individual plan. If you do not have insurance, the cost is $75.00 for the initial consultation and $50.00 for each follow-up visit.
Q. Are there any other costs?
A. Participants pay for prescribed medications and many are fairly inexpensive. Sometimes the cost of medications is covered if you have a drug benefit under your insurance plan. Lab and any other diagnostic testing is a separate charge depending on what is ordered for you. These may also be covered by your insurance and your portion is dependent on your individual plan.
Q. How frequently will I meet with my weight loss guide? What happens at these meetings?
A. You will meet with your weight loss guide every four weeks. At these meetings you’ll discuss your progress toward your goal, including any issues with your diet plan, activity level, and medication. But, if you have any questions between scheduled visits, your weight loss guide is available by phone.
Q. Is there a weight management program and ongoing support after I reach my weight loss goal?
A. After your goal is reached, maintaining interaction with your weight loss guide is an important part of your weight loss journey. Intervals between follow up visits will be a shared decision you make with your weight loss guide. The goal of follow-up visits is ensure your continued success by holding yourself accountable to your weight maintenance plan.
